A new Naughty Bear trailer has been released, and in this one we are shown how to play the game and what the goal is. I must say that it looks pretty epic and well thought-out.

Crack hashes with IGHASHGPU
I found a very nice and fast software for cracking hashes, like sha1 and md5. It went through almost 1000 million hashes per second on my computer, compared with Cain which did about 6,5 millions per second. But I have only a half broken ATI 4870. This is what the website says about 5970:
Recovery speed on ATI HD 5970 peaks at 5600M/s MD5 hashes and 2300M/s SHA1 hashes.
And that is freaking awesome!

Decrypt passwords with Cain & Abel
I have used Cain & Abel before (some years ago) for network sniffing. But today, when I wanted to try out decrypting passwords, I googled and found out that Cain & Abel can do that too. Or maybe I shouldn’t call it decrypting, because I was solving hashes. It worked great, but it takes a huge amount of time when it’s more than 6-7 characters in the password. Therefore can it be a good idea to download a rainbow table if you want to minimize the time spent “decrypting”.
Change screen resolution in Ubuntu + VirtualBox
Yesterday I installed Ubuntu 10.04 in Windows 7 with VirtualBox, and it works great. But the problem I faced was that I could only pick 2 different screeen resolutions; 640×480 and 800×600.
This problem was easily solved by doing these steps:
- Start Ubuntu in VirtualBox.
- In the new window, open the Devices-menu and pick Install guest additions…
- A CD-icon should now pop up on the desktop in Ubuntu – double click it.
- Finish the installation.
- Maybe restart Ubuntu.
- Done! Now you can resize the Ubuntu window to whatever you want, and it will reconfigure itself. Just drag the border of the window.
2 Weeks Until Rekreatur is Released
Now it is only two weeks left until Equilibrium’s album Rekreatur is released, the 18th of June! They have already uploaded two of the album’s songs on the internet for listening, and they are totally awesome. Hrm… I was going to add links to them on Youtube, but it seems like they recently have been deleted.
I’m thinking on buying Equilibrium t-shirts from their store, but I’m not yet sure because it’s far from free. An Rekreatur shirt costs 16 € + 3 € (shipping) = 19 €, which maybe is a normal price, but still pretty high I think.

I was searching after a Guy Fawkes mask on Google, and after a while I found a website that are selling them for only 5 £! I think I’m going to order one, just because it’s really awesome to have one, and it’s cheap.
Uploaded some school works
I have uploaded some school at http://danielj.se/works.php. Almost all works are in Swedish, but you can always use Google Translate if you wonder what I have written.
I have uploaded the works mainly because I want to give something back to the Internet, after everything it has given me. And with that I mean that I want to help others by affording my old school works.
