Krater – Shadows over Solside

The other day I purchased Fatshark’s latest game Krater – Shadows over Solside. The game has much in common with Torchlight and Diablo gameplay-wise. However, instead of controlling a single character, you have three that you play at the same time, making the game feel a bit like an RTS. You can in the cities change which characters you want in your party.

If you have played Arrowhead Game Studios’ Magicka, you will find that these two games share the same type of humour. In Krater there are signs with text written in Swedish (Sunes korv, Öppet tjugofyrasju etc.), the characters that you play and the NPCs half of the time say phrases in Swedish, many enemies have Swedish names (björn, varg, hund etc.), many of the zones have Swedish-ish names (Norrmalm, Murkmåla, Hesselby etc.) and almost all NPCs in the cities have typical Swedish names (Andreas, Stig, Stina, Emil etc.). This is not very strange, because the game actually takes place in Sweden after a big meteor has hit its surface.

Check out this video if you want to know more about the game:

Krater is available for purchase online for only 14 €, making it a real bargain. :)
